FCO to hotel, Vatican and Borghese?

Hi,
I will be getting into rome (FCO) on a sunday at 7:45 am and will take the train to Termini. Will I have enough time to get to my hotel near the Borghese and then to the vatican to see the pope? I was then thinking of making my way back to see the Borghese Museum with a stop for lunch. Is this doable?
thanks for your replies

I'm not sure about the timeframe...i suppose it depends on how you are traveling around...by taxi? Also, have you made reservations for a specific time at the Borghese yet?

I was thinking about public transportation, bus or metro. I haven't made a reservation yet.

Hi Quark. I don't know what time one might be able to actually see the Pope at the Vatican on a Sunday, but if your plane arrives on time at 7:45 am, I'd think you could get to your hotel and then get over to the Vatican by somewhere between 10:00 and 11:00.

From your hotel, you could head to the Piazza di Spanga Metro stop and then take it to the Ottaviano/San Pietro stop, a bit north of the Vatican.

Although some people seem to get into the Borghese without a reservation, I'd recommend making one.
