Favorite restaurants in London?

Hi! Leaving for London in four days. My family likes every kind of food; we're very adventurous. We'd welcome any and all recommendations for can't-miss restaurants in London. We'll be there about 9 days.

St. John and St. John Bread and Wine, unless you are a vegetarian. Fergus Henderson brings back to life authentic British cooking and desserts.

Rock and Sole Plaice: Good Fish & Chips - http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/rock-and-sole-plaice-london

The Salt Yard: Spanish / Tapas Wine Bar - http://www.saltyard.co.uk/

This site is great for London recommendations: http://www.squaremeal.co.uk/
It's got a great "best" list by type (lefthand sidebar)

Awesome! Thanks. We're seeing a show Tuesday night at the New London Theatre, and Rock and Sole Plaice is very near there. I think that will be perfect.

Venosi on Sloane Ave and La Familglia on Langston Place, Racine on Cromwell Rd, Cote in the theatre district, and Chez Gerard on Kensington High Street. Cafe Montepeliano and Orsini and Carluccio's for inexpensive meals.

Kiku and Zuma for Japanese
Kiku for lunch only - pretty good set price deals. Dinner is expensive
http://www.kikurestaurant.co.uk/
http://www.zumarestaurant.com/zuma_uk.html (also expensive)

Indian: Amaya
http://www.amaya.biz/

Seafood: Lots of choices, we've been happy with Bibendum (if we weren't doing Japanese): http://www.bibendum.co.uk/restaurant/index.html

Lunch or light meals:
1707 Wine bar in the basement of Fortnum & Masons
http://www.fortnumandmason.com/1707-wine-bar.aspx (watch the video)

Nicole's restaurant at Nicole Farhi: http://www.nicolefarhi.com/restaurants/nicoleslondon/

For breakfast:
Sotheby's Cafe http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaur...n_England.html
(at the world famous Sotheby's auction house; off the usual tourist radar even though it's very centrally located)
or The Wolseley

Racine is on Brompton Road, very close to the V&A and not on Cromwell Road.
