I cant believe no one has mentioned "Kiss of the Dragon" with Jet Li. As far as books are concerned, I have to agree with Cindy on The Flaneur by Edmund White.

Just saw "Funny Face" on TV, and really enjoyed all the Paris sights after having just been there a few months ago. What a treat it was. I happen to also be a great Audrey Hepburn fan, so doubly enjoyed it. It was a riot, though, to have them calling Audrey Hepburn "funny face". She was so beautiful......

Anyone who loved Amelie should seek out While the Cat's Away (It was mentioned by zootie). It is set in the Bastille neighborhood and relvolves around how the residents band together to find a lost pet. The little old ladies reminded me of my French-Candian grandmother. "Read My Lips" is a very cool French thriller that was released in the U.S. last fall. It should be out on video/dvd soon. Frantic directed by Roman Polanski and starring Harrison Ford makes great use of different locale in the city.

I have to confess, I only rented Amelie a few weeks ago and althought I LOVED it, it left me emotionally hung over for the rest of the weekend. I guess because Montmartre was the last place I visited on my last trip to Paris, and seeing it made me feel like I was there just yesterday. I wished I was back!! waaaaah
