Favorite 3 greek islands
Hello,
After visiting several islands in the cyclades like: Sifnos,Folegandros,Paros Santorini and in the dedocannese like : Rhodes, Symi and Patmos and the pelloponnese, I am too perplexed to choose the destination of this summer.
I am searching for a different, charming, exotic place with beautiful villages and landscapes and animated evenings on the terraces of the cafes and restaurants and a beautiful walk along a pretty harbor and why not a beautiful beach to refresh.
So Which islands fit my expectations the most from the list below :
1) Andros/Mykonos/Tinos
or
2) Mykonos/Ikaria/Samos
or
3) Skiathos/Skopelos/Alonissos
or
4) Kefalonia/Lefkada/Ithaca
Thank you in advance.

We spent a week in Kefalonia in September and my family and I absolutely loved it. Very laid back and certainly not as commercialised as say Santorini, Mykonos etc. some of the best beaches that I have ever swum in anywhere in the world (and I'm an Aussie so I know beaches!) and heaps of small charming villages. The natural features of the island and the landscape was also really pretty.
My only other suggestion would be to make sure that you hire a car as its a large island and there is heaps to see.

I can highly recommend Tinos. It's one of the most beautiful of the Greek Islands. Outside of Tinos Town the rest of the island has some of the most picturesque villages I've been to. Very traditional and non-touristy.
Andros is my least favoritre of the Cyclades.
I did a day cruise to Mykonos and while visually stunning was too crowded, touristy and high price and that was off-season (October)!
I have done a lot of research on Ikaria & Samos and they fit my needs for a Greek Island experience.
The other islands I have not been to.
I can suggest a few others I've been to that would be less touristy and more traditional:
Amorgos & Astypalea are two of my favorite islands which can be combined.
Lots more to look into which fits the needs of all travelers, but so much depends on what you want for a Greek Island experience.
