Fast Ferry Crete to Santorini
I will be in Crete from Oct. 28 to Nov. 4th. I have heard that the fast ferry to Santorini still runs at this time of year. What is the name of the ferry and does anyone have a link to its webpage? We aren't too anxious

As far as I can determine the highspeed ferries don't operate after the end of October, and I'm not even sure about a car ferry between Crete and Santorini then either. Check with www.gtp.gr in a week or so for updates. There's nothing there now for November.

Let me have another go at this one. The Hellenic Seaways official website, http://tinyurl.com/hs9hw shows Flying Cat 4 operating until 1 Oct, but another website, http://www.ferries.gr/hfd/ shows it continuing between Heraklion and Santorini until 31 Oct. Either way, it won't be running when you leave Crete in November. Like brotherleelove, I can't find a car ferry from Crete to Santorini in November either.
You may have to fly back to Athens first to get to Santorini. Crete and Santorini are on different ferry routes, and the links between the two are primarily for tourists during the summer season. Check with the ticket agents when you get to Crete. It is possible there will be a ferry that isn't listed on the websites, but be prepared for a detour through Athens or Piraeus.
