Fares from US to Madrid for less than $400

Right now there is what must be a mistake airfare on Spanair. There are blackout dates, but it apparently runs through next April. Airfare from Boston - Madrid return on Kayak .com is showing at $341 for a 10 day trip in November!! Many other US start points available.

Hopefully someone can take advantage.

I just checked a 10-day trip in mid-November using Kayak and Spanair. The flight is listed at a base cost of $548, Seattle to Madrid. The same flight on US Airways is currently listed at $867 + tax. There may be one or two seats open at that price, but you will not receive an FF points, nor will your luggage fly free.

Spanair uses US Airways on it's Atlantic flights. The US Airways flight out of Boston is via Philadelphia and is listed at a base cost of $700 + tax on the mid-November dates.

It's not just Boston. Lots of people are booking from other cities. There is discussion about earning miles also.

I have to thank poutine for this wonderful tip!! We took advantage of this airfare ($350 total) and just returned from our city break to Madrid. US Airways does get bad reviews, but we have no complaints. Everything was fine. Maybe we got lucky, but we had no problems. Thanks again, poutine.
