Family trip to Tuscany

After much ado and figuring out where to go, I feel like maybe I shouldn't do Tuscany and SOME PLACE ELSE. Is it crazy to travel with 3 kids to Tuscany and do a week in Southern Tuscany and a week in Northern? I feel like between visiting towns, relaxing, going to farms, taking a cooking class, we will be fine. It's just all villas are for one week! And don't want kids moving TOO much.

Originally was going to do one week Tuscany and then fly down to Puglia, but then thought 6 days in Tuscany wasn't enough and we'd spend a whole day traveling. And then thought Como, but end of May won't be warm enough for water activities so am landing here.

So one week by Montalcino and one week by San Gamgiano? Thoughts?
