Rule No. 11: I will say Gruezi (pronounced: Gr i e zi) to everyone who says Gruezi to me. It's the Swiss dialect of "Gruss" or greeting. The Swiss are really into greeting each other on a hike or somewhere off the beaten path.

This small world is getting smaller

It is a small world! Faina did iyou know P_M and I were at the Vevey open air farmers market last summer on the very same Saturday morning! Unfortunately we did not spot each other for certain but we did both have glass(es) of local wine.

Amazing! We all have to work out some code or a pin or something to recognize each other in the crowds all over the world Maybe a pin - letter F for Fodorites?

I hope Erwench reads this today... It would be nice to say "hello" to a person, not just to those black and white lines!

I sure wish I was going to Switzerland too! Make sure you eat lots of fresh bread, chocolate and drink some of that strong coffee. Enjoy the sight of the beautiful geraniums adorning window boxes everywhere. Breathe lots of that crisp, fresh air. Have a great trip!

Not only were Suze and I both in Vevey on the same day, but we both flew BA to Geneva on August 11, 2004. Too bad we came from different cities so we were not on any of the same flights. But hopefully we'll meet the next time we're both in Switzerland--or maybe somewhere else.
