Extra day...Venice or Florence?
Flying into Venice after Thanksgiving...spending 2 nights in Venice, 3 nights in Florence, then 4 nights in Rome.
I can change it to 3 nights in Venice or leave it at 3 nights in Florence...which city would be worth the extra night stay? (my overall guess is I can't go wrong with either choice....)
TIA

Florence to me has more different things than Venice - Venice' main sight IMO is Venice itself and not the individual museums and churches, etc though many of those are stupendous.
Plus Florence offers some sweet easy day trips like to Pisa and one of the proverbial Tuscan hill towns, like Siena, just an hour and a few euros away from Florence by frequent buses.
But yes you cannot go wrong.

While I prefer Venice to Florence I agree with PalenQ that you might spend the extra day on a day trip out of Florence. Lucca comes to mind. Close, easy access from the train, shop, eat, walk around the wall for a fantastic view of the town, flat if walking hills does not appeal.
With such a short time in each you might consider this trip reconnaissance for the next trip when you'll know which city appeals to you most.
