extra day in Rome
Hi,
I am taking a package tour to Rome, Florence and Venice. I also choose to stay one day extra after the tour (because it was weekend). That extra day I plan to go to Naples from Rome. Here is my problem. The hotel I am staying at with the tour does not have space availabe for that extra day. Now the problem is that I want to leave early in the morning on that extra do to leave for Naples. What do I do with my luggage? I do not want to carry it all the way to naples and any new hotel I want to stay in will not do check-in till 1:00PM or so..
Can anyone suggest a way out?
Thanks.

Any "new hotel I (you) want to stay in" that is worth its salt ought to be willing to hold your bags, from any hour in the morning until they have a room into which they can transfer them, later that afternoon, while you are gone to Naples.

This will save you the need to go retrieve them when you return from Naples.

Best wishes,

Rex
[email protected]
Thanks for the reply. I had hoped this would be true. Thanks again. I am planning on staying at "Palladium Palace". Do you think it has enough "salt" to hold by luggage?
Also, I am booking through hotels.com for $85 + tax for this hotel. Does that sound like the right price? Is there some other website I should use?
Thanks.

It's 10 euro cheaper than the rate quoted on "their" own web page - - i.e. on www.venere.com - - http://www.venere.it/it/roma/palladiumpalace

I don't know anything about the place. That's a pretty cheap price for what looks to be a "full-service" hotel - - in a location that is sometimes described as "seedy", but jam-packed with other hotels. Can it be all that bad?
