Exploring Old Town Rethymno: Parking and Accessibility Tips
I'm planning a trip to Rethymno and would love some advice. I’ve heard that the old town is a must-visit, but I’m wondering about parking options. Can you stay in the old part of the city with a car, or is it mostly pedestrianized? If cars aren’t allowed, is there convenient parking nearby where I can leave my vehicle and explore on foot?
Also, any recommendations for must-see spots or local dining gems in the area would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance for your insights!

There are public parking lots in Rethymno. If you use google maps to find anything -- anything! -- there, you can then click "nearby" and enter "parking."
You might find some useful information about the city in my old trip report. The section on Rethymno begins with post # 66.
