Exploring Old Town Rethymno: Parking and Accessibility Tips
I'm planning a trip to Rethymno and would love some advice. I’ve heard that the old town is a must-visit, but I’m wondering about parking options. Can you stay in the old part of the city with a car, or is it mostly pedestrianized? If cars aren’t allowed, is there convenient parking nearby where I can leave my vehicle and explore on foot?
Also, any recommendations for must-see spots or local dining gems in the area would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance for your insights! |

There are public parking lots in Rethymno. If you use google maps to find anything -- anything! -- there, you can then click "nearby" and enter "parking."
You might find some useful information about the city in my old trip report. The section on Rethymno begins with post # 66. https://www.fodors.com/community/eur...reece-1460735/ Hope that helps! |
