Excursions in Paris

Hi All,
My wife and I are headed for Paris for 5 days at the end of March. I'm looking for two excursions: a day tour (several hours) around Paris's main landmarks, and an evening river cruise (with or without dinner). There are many websites offering such excursions, but I'd like to hear your personal recommendations.
Thank you.

Hi there,

One thing that helped me was to do a search above under Seine Cruise...tons of stuff came up...also try Paris Tours. Both of them helped me a lot!
Good luck!
Jamie

Further to Jamikins suggestion, if you do a text search here for Bateau Mouche which is the name of the most well known boat cruise line, you will gets lots of info. Most people prefer going without the meal because the food is usally not considered worth the expense but others like the experience
As for the tour try searching day tour AND Paris.

for day tours, American Express, Cityrama, and Parisvision offer them.
The latter two have websites.
All three are reliable companies.
There is also a hop on, hop off bus
(L'Open) as well as a hop on, hop off boat (Batobus).
You can search here for past comments, or on the web for info.
An alternative to Bateaux Mouches is Vedettes de Pont Neuf, smaller boats.
The night boat tour shows off the lights of Paris, very pretty.
We did a day trip to London with Paris Vision Tours, and were very pleased. I know they also offer all sorts of things in the city like those that you've mentioned.
