That is so sad, mostly because I wonder why wasn't anyone there to help her, to see her off, a family member or friend??
I am glad she wasn't hurt, she could have easily been.

Well - it sounds like she never flew before. You would think a family member would have gone with her.

Or, perhaps her confusion was related to some deterioration no one had noticed.
