Hi,
Try http://www.raileurope.com/us/special...ip_special.htm
They are offering $95.00 RT for selected trains.

We did exactly that in May and paid $139/ticket (NOT business class) for the privilege. At that point it was still cheaper than any round trip I could find. I tried everything I could think of, but couldn't find a cheaper price.
We purchased the tickets through an agency that had the lowest booking and delivery fees I could find. One flat booking fee ($7), regardless of how many tickets booked, rather than a fee for each ticket. The tickets were issued through rail europe.
If you want to contact them, it's [email protected] or toll-free from the US 1-877-581-6594. Nice, helpful, gave us some Paris recommendations as well.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what Marilyn did, but I just went to eurostar.com and found a one-way in Sept of 120 euros one-way and 78 euros RT (Leisure 60--60 days in advance? rate).
I think it's cheaper to get your ticket from eurostar.com than raileurope, which is always quite a bit more expensive.

I tried Raileurope and Eurostar websites. When I ask for an Outward Only ticket on Eurostar.com, they only give me the options of selecting Business First or Business Standard. The Business Standard fare is about $249US.
RailEurope allowed Leisure class and charges $139US for one way. A return ticket is $99US.
I then checked Expedia and I can fly one way on bmi from Heathrow for just $80US!!!
All same dates and times. I know everyone travels by train in Europe, but I never have before and it seems so confusing!

Karla, you can definitely fly for less money than Eurostar, but as discussed on another recent thread, Eurostar leaves from central London and arrives in central Paris, thus avoiding the cost and time of getting to and from the airport on either end. I thought it was extremely convenient.

My experience matches what people have said above... roundtrips are often the same price or cheaper than one way. But another you could look out for is roundtrips with a locked return fare. A special weekend trip rate or something similar... Since you are not going back any kind of restrictions on return trip which makes the trip cheaper is well worth it
On the train vs plain you have to especially consider the comfort factor. As long as you stay in a central hotel, getting to the train station is easy and cheap, and then you enter the train and sit down in your comfortable seat (at least compared to the sardines at planes) and enjoy until you arrive in downtown Paris. And I'm sure if you start the timer the moment you leave the hotel, the train will be several hours faster....
