Eurostar London-Paris
Our family is spending 8 days in London-Paris in March. We are planning to take the Eurostar from London to Paris. I have been on the eurostar website and raileurope. The roundtrip cost is significantly less than the one way(we only need one way). Is there any risk in buying the round trip and only using half? In USA airlines, this is not allowed? Thank you

I have no idea what you mean by saying that in the US using only the first half of a round trip is not allowed. I know people who do it all the time. Did you ever meet someone who had the police come to his house and arrest him for failing to show up for a return flight?
If you get a good deal for round-trip, then book it and throw the tickets away after you get there.

I think that's a problem when you book a round trip ticket that has an intermediate stop, and you get off there without completing to the final destination. That's when they'd cancel your return trip. I've known people with that experience.
I'm curious if there is there a difference in pricing between the Eurostar website and the Raileurope one?

If you are using the outbound portion of the ticket, there is not a problem with not returning.
We took the Eurostar a few years back with our kids. We purchased first class tickets and had a great trip. We had tons of room and the kids had a big area with a large table to play card games, etc. It was a very enjoyable time, the food was good, too. I booked on Raileurope and got a pretty good deal.
