European Tour
Hello, We are taking a tour in Sept to Warsaw, Budapest, Prague, Auschwitz, Helsinki etc. etc. Any info you can pass along will be greatly appreciated. We are traveling with SmarTours. Has anyone gone on this tour before? How is the weather? Good accommodations? What should we not miss seeing? Thanks for any info.

Golly Rex, what do you do? Sit and monitor the postings? I had forgotten about asking a similar question back in Jan. of all things. Here it is, 7 months later. Thanks for the reminder. Forgive me if I want to ask the same question again. There is always a chance that someone new has checked in during the last 7 months and perhaps they would have just the answer I am looking for. Curious if anyone has traveled with SmarTours and how they liked it. And also curious about other things as well. Any reply greatly welcomed. Thanks all.

Absolutely. But it is usually better to top your old thread instead of starting over again. You got a lot of very detailed info on the other thread - so topping it would get even more details instead of starting from scratch.
Plus - the other thread has a better title because it mentions Eastern Europe. "European Tour" could be asking about anywhere. Folks who know about Eastern Europe would be much more likely to open the other one.
Rex really WAS just trying to help you get better results from the forum . . . . .

Thanks for the kind words, in "defense", janis...
And no, I do not sit around and monitor questions on this forum, neither during "primetime", nor at a uncivilized hour like now. Like anyone else, I click on questions depending on how/whether the message header interests me. Contrary to notions suggested by others, I do not click on all the questions all the time. I probably never see 80-90% of the questions asked here.
I do have a very good memory for certain things. And for many questions, I will have a recollection of either "I have seen a question like that before, or asked by that person before" (often only 24 hours earlier) - - or I may think "hmmm... I don't think I have ever seen that name before; I wonder if it is a new registrant". So, I click on your name.
It took me instantly back to your old post.
Which I shall top, now...
Best wishes,
Rex

As mentioned above, by topping your own post (find it and add something), it keeps all the answers together. It's for your own convenience.
Because your question is so very specific I'd add you might sooner find what you're seeking if you titled it SmarTour Eastern Europe Sept.
For instance I have no help to offer, but opened the post only because it was so general, and could have been about almost anything.

Thanks for all the tips gang. Not being to regular here, I am not sure about what you mean when you say "top" my old thread. I did use this forum when I traveled to China and got LOTS of helpful info. Guess SmarTours people have not checked in here, or as you say, perhaps I should have included that in the title of my post. Anyway, guess I learned a few things. Perhaps next time I will get better results. And Rex, guess I don't have as good a memory as you. I didn't remember the posting I wrote 7 months ago!

Ize: Not to beat a dead horse - but if SmarTours is what you want to know about - then put it in your title.
here is a thread about SmarTours from just yesterday

Hello janis, Thank you so much for sending me that info. I did go and read the posts and they were quite helpful. I have checked into Fommer's also and read a few things there. You have been very helpful and I do appreciate it. Take care.
