getting a little erudite on us now, aren't ya? this here's EYE talian!
I presume you want the author?
It's not standard Italian. I had to google to find out what dialect it is, so I won't tell.
Dialect? um, maybe-this is literary Italian, it's from a play, maybe in the commedia dell'arte genre, so I'll take a stab and say Venice- and if I'm right, then this could be the playwright Goldoni, bits of his works one sees in place names all over Venice.
Bologna?
It's not Italian. It's Venetian, and yes, it's from a play by Goldoni.
Which Goldoni play is this?
This is interesting. I met this guy a few years ago. He's a playwright and also translates plays and puts them performances of his own translations. I went to a Goldoni production ("Mistress of the Inn") -- I doubt that he translated it from Venetian though. If so, I'm really impressed. |
Oh, and here I though about being all cool and posting something in Sorbian....
OK, how about this: Ôbé dowé ë miészëznowé jãzëczi s wô nym ë nié do rozdzeleniégò dzélã europejsczi kùlturë œ ùbòkadniaj ji wszelejakòsc. 111op, I think I took that from I Rusteghi.
Wow. Interesting. And Goldoni is very prolific too.
By the way, as I was recently reminded, you can use "makeshorterlink" to make your links shorter: http://makeashorterlink.com/?H5876557A will take you to your same page (and shorter links work a little better with formatting and cutting and pasting). End of public service announcement. :-) |
Any takers for this one?
