It is Karelian, but not Karelian dialect of Finnish. There is also a language named Karelian (language of my grandmother.

The same in Finnish would be:

And I cheated to find it, Elina - it's Cornish (Kernow), which is another old Celtic language (native speakers died out a long long time ago, but its supporters are energetic in trying to revive it).

It is Irish gaelic -- I recognize some of the words (tried to learn it once) -- and I recognized the spelling and word flow...

'agus' means 'and'
'Tá' means is ('Tá me' is 'I am'

Elina-you're right, Karelian is a language on its own, but it is a Finno-Ugric language, and my understanding is that there are 2 dialects of it, a Finnish and Russian one. I had a conversation about the language once with someone who spoke it, because I had not heard of it before then.
