Since Intrepid hasn't posted, and since I'm not sure where we are, I'll post an easy new one, without using letters from previous replies.

I'll give an easy one also. City (7 letters), 3rd and 6th letters are "e," which suffered from at least two "disasters," one of which just a few years ago. Its "counterpart" is another city (8 letters, fifth and eighth letters are "e"
