europe weather in sept.
will be cruising from rome /to turkey/greece/and back to rome.how cold is it ,how lite can I pack.first time traveling abroard,excited and nervous any info,will be appreciated.cc /euros.american cash??? please help

You can check the weather on weather.com a week before you go but weather is so unpredictable. Best to wait as long as possible. But, I would think Sept would be good but perhaps on the "warm to hot" side. Weather.com can give you averages but.....
Use your credit card for most purchases - at least I've found it as good as getting money in the local currency from an ATM in terms of exchange rates. You probably won't be able to use American dollars in any country. If you can, withdraw cash from an ATM. For many small purchases, as in sidewalk stores, you will need the local currency.

It will be pretty warm in this region of Europe in September. Expect lots of sunshine and temperatures between 25 and 32°C. T-shirts and short sleeves are the dress of the day.
For the evenings, pack a sweater or light jacket.
Be also prepared for an occasional rainy day or a shower.
Forget American cash. You need Euros in cash (you can change at the airport/on the ship/with your credit card at ATMs which are abundant in Europe). MasterCard and VISA are widely accepted.

Locate a particular city and there is the option to click on "historical weather". It gives you the temperature range for a given day of a given month for the past several years. That way you can get a good picture of what to expect on particular days of the month.

The areas you're talking about won;t be cold at all - but rather hot to warm. You might need a light shawl or something if you're out on the water at night - but essentially it's still prettymuch sumemr weather.
As for paying, use credit ards for as much as possible nd get walking around money from ATMs (linked to your checking account). US$ are useless - exept perhaps on the ship - where they will really soak you on the rate of exchange.
