Those are three places where it easy to spend at least a week in each. Three or four days will give you just a taste of each and you will lose time traveling to each.

Each is a wonderful walking city and each has charms from the centuries. Since you are leaving Friday, I would suggest you go to your local library and look through a guide book for each and see what would appeal to you and your family. They each have a wide variety of shopping, sights, history, culture, art, and restaurants.

If you like markets, Paris has a big one near the Calignancourt metro stop on weekends. Just follow the crowds.

Istanbul has a huge Sunday morning market which starts uphill (and on the right) from the Blue Mosque and goes on and on.

Lots of places to see in Paris. Try some walking tours:

.

Rome has endless things to see and do. Click on any tourism site.

Also consider a side visit to Pompeii.

Hi Ay,

>im leaving on august 19th, ....<

I'm glad that you didn't wait until the last minute.

You can look up your cities under "Destinations".

Enjoy your visit.

On Cyberia's posting: I believe they are referring to "Clignancourt" which is a huge flea market in Paris...just a little type, but you'd have trouble finding it!

Clignancourt IS a huge flea market, but it is high end antiques. Also only on weekend. Spend your Paris weekend, if you have one at the Porte Vanves market instead. You might really find something fun in a few hours. The street markets set up throughout Paris on various days also have fun wares you won't find elsewhere--besides food.
