Europcar rental drop off location at Barajas

Hello,
A question for any of you who have dropped off a rental car at the Barajas Airport in Madrid...is the drop off easy to find? We had planned to drop off our car in Avila thereby avoiding the Barajas chaos but were told that the last car rental agency there just closed. We're now booked with Europcar and know how to get to the airport from Avila but are just a bit worried about finding the drop-off area. We leave for our trip on 10/15...yeah hurray!!
Thanks to all!
Lisa

Hi Lisa, it is very easy . The rental car rent area is on the ground floor, right in front of the exit of the airport main building. This is what I recall anyway.
Why don´t you check with the rental car anyway...?
Funny we also on our last trip were hoping to be able to leave it in Avila, but Hertz had closed its office in Avila, and it was not difficult anyway.
Buena suerte.

Agree. Barajas rental pick up and delivery is very very easy. But be sure that you have enough time if you happen to leave Madrid in the moring or afternoon rush hours!
Bjorn, Oslo

Hi Lisa,
I agree. The rental car drop off area is well marked, and the agencies, Avis, Hertz, Europcar are located together, in the parking area directly in front of the intl arrivals terminal, as Graziella says.
We've dropped off Avis cars there, as they have a designated booth in the parking lot, so no need even to go inside to the terminal.
It's easy and painless and much less time consuming than negotiating the morning commuter traffic to drop off in the city.
But if you're coming from Avila the morning of your flight, I would leave plenty early and allow that extra cushion for the commuter traffic coming in to and on the beltway, as Bjorn wisely suggests.
