Entertainment between Rome and Florence Oct. 13-23

We're looking for exciting opera, or other enriching entertainment. We're in Rome from 13-16. Follina (near Venice) from 17-18, and Florence from 19-23.
Any suggestions on music or theater?
Thanks,
Marc

Teatro dell'Opera in Rome will feature a performance of Fidelio on October 13-15.

Tickets are hard to find so if you want to attend the opera secure tickets as soon as possible. For more info on opera in Rome visit http://www.operaroma.it.

I recommend that you stop in at the Florence tourist office at 1 Via Cavour, or across the street from the train station for the latest information. Daily, they publish a list of concerts happening that evening.
Another excellent source of performing arts events in Florence is the Spettacolo monthly magazine.
Another source of information is http://www.firenze.net. Choose Entertainment from the left column. You can specify your date range.

Many events aren't publicized until a short time before they take place.

Under "What to Do," Music, at my website, http://www.idyllicitaly.com, I found a performance at the Verdi Theater starting Oct. 22 of Pinocchio: http://www.teatroverdifirenze.it/f_programma.htm.
