easyJet sale
I received this from easyJet and may be of interest for those planning to travel in Europe in April and May:
We're showing our love for you this Valentine's Day with £10 per person off all trips booked by Monday 18 February 2008!*
Simply enter the code LOVE2008 at step 3 of the booking process when you book a flight departing 1 April to 21 May 2008 and prepare to take off for even less!
This incredible offer is available on every flight for the dates above including April school holidays and the May Day bank holiday! But hurry - to take advantage of this offer you must book by midnight Monday at easyJet.com.
* Terms & conditions apply. Booking must be made before midnight on 18 February 2008 for travel between 1 April and 21 May 2008 inclusive. The voucher will take £5.00 off the cost of every flight for every person on your booking. If you only book a one way flight, you'll only receive a £5.00 discount. The voucher can only be used once.
This might not be as good as it looks in that getting a fare this late in the game for April might be higher than the very low fares offered months in advance (we got RT tickets Basel-Instanbul for CHF 341 for two) so that after the discount the ticket might still not match the lowest fares that might have been available.

Yes, it's a good idea to look around for bargains today, but be careful avoiding the traps. www.tuifly.com offer 7€ tickets today. But guess what's cheaper in the end, their 19€ tickets sold again from tomorrow or their special offer 7€ tickets, sold today? Don't be fooled.

When it comes to discount airlines, I always assume that the price posted is not necessarily the final price. That was the case for my RT Basel-Instanbul tickets. Nonetheless, even with a Paris-Basel PREM ticket added to the cost of that trip, it was difficult to beat the $310 that it cost for the two of us. One can worry about hidden charges or simply accept the final price offered before paying for the ticket.

I, for one, love Europe's LCC's (low cost carrier airliones).
I might have heard of TUIfly before, but it was definitely not on my radar screen in planning. The number of detinations they serve is incredible. And priced to compete with Ryanait, it sems to me (assuming that you are starting in Germany).
With the cheap fares to Germany in Feb and March that I have recently posted, it could make for a cheap connect onward to almost anywhere.
Best wishes,
Rex

Rex I had never heard of Tuifly before last year, and was unfamilar with Europes low cost airlines( no such thing here, costs be more to fly for 15 minutes in my own province, then my flight from Paris to Rome this summer)
I booked hubby and son on Tuifly last year, Paris to Germany.Hubby said it was great, cheap( less then 80 euros for two of them) easy and nice enough flight. We were amazed.
Used to be the train was the way to save money and travel within Europe, now its flights
