For anyone planning to book with Easyjet, next summer's flights are now available for booking online.

Not all the routes are open to book. e.g. London - Prague is possible but Prague - Geneva is not, yet.

Hi Jamikins -

Sorry - I should have double-checked before posting

I received an e-mail from Easyjet re summer flight bookings. I assumed it was general (- hence my post). But re-reading, it's specific to their flights from my local airport (- Bristol).

More are going online each day now for other airports - so it's worth checking frequently, I think.

My apologies ...

Steve

Is it true that the earlier you book, the cheaper the rate?

I have already booked my June flight with easyJet to Athens, so Steve is correct about that route anyway. Other summer flights should be coming online soon.

As for when it's cheapest to book, it tends to be cheapest to book early on, but occasionally there are sales. The problem is that you don't know if your route is going to be on sale, and if it's a popular route, the odds are against it.

Also consider how much you are realistically going to save if there's a sale. If the price is 40 Euros all-in right now, for example, there's not much room, considering taxes, for the fare to drop.

Ok, I just booked Olbia, Sardinia to Milan Malpensa for 4 adults for 180euro total for late June.

I'm pretty happy -- seems like a great deal!

The seats are sold in tranches driven by sophisticated consumption rate software. Hence you will find prices moving up and then down and then up etc. Early is generally good but the sales are the best (normally on 48 hours long)
