Hi

I visited this museum a few years ago.
I arrived by car and can't give you much help on public transport. As it is less than 10 miles from Cambridge, I guess you could get a taxi from there.

The highlights were a TSR2, and a development concord (e).

Don't forget the RAF museum in Hendon while you are in London.

Peter

Look at their website - they run a shuttle from the train station in Cambridge on a regular basis throughout the day. Yes, it's easy trip from London - take train from Kings Cross to Cambridge, catch shuttle. Can't get much more simple.
Only you can decide if it is worth visiting, do you like planes??? War history?

Thanks, Lori. Good advice. I am into scale models and flying. Love history.
I'll see if I have time to do the trip. I think we shorted ourselves on time in London. We are driving Ireland and doing a bus tour of UK. Then only three days in London and two in Paris.
Thanks again.
Dave S.

I've been to both Duxford and the RAF Museum in London. They are both great. If I could only go to one, I'd go to the RAF..it's more compact; you get close to a Spit and a Hurricane. They have a good theatre where they show a lot of combat film...the real last mission of the Memphis Belle, for instance, as contrasted with the Hollywood version. But Duxford was fine, too. There they have a glass wall with a tiny insigna of each allied plane lost in combat...a sort of VietNam Memorial approach.Unfortunately I don't remember much about getting to Duxford because we were with English friends who drove us there. The RAF is on a tube line. Bill
