You might want to check the cruise forum here and also the River Cruise forum on the Cruise Critic site.

We enjoyed a very nice day cruise from Porto with Douro Azul . We took the train back to Lisbon as part of the ticket. We wete served a nice continental breakfast and lunch on the boat. www.douroazul.com

hi HappyTrvlr, just a day cruise, we only have 3 nights in Porto. I like the train option. should we book in advance, or wait till we get there?

I think our hotel booked it for us. We were the only Americans, one other English speaking couple. A very nice day. We took the train back at end and it brought us into the beautiful station well known for it's tile work.

Not sure if I'm missing something , but the only one day cruise I see from Porto is the "bridges cruise". The others seem to be longer.
