Well....Bono's donated millions to starving children in Africa and strongly believes the U.S. should forgive their debt. I wonder how his little chat with Dubya went. Whether pretentious or not, he puts his money where his mouth is.

...When's the last time anyone heard about Dubya or any of his close family friends donating millions of their own dollars to starving children? Oh that's right, trick question. Kenny Boy's money wasn't even his own. HA! But it still went at a rate of 4 to 1 to the RNC.

Sam, why don't you just ask Bono what he thinks about multinationals like the Carlyle Group?
I don't know? I'm confused about what he's saying? Surely, he doesn't think we're Dubya fans? Has he read the entire thread yet??? Curiouser and curiouser? I'd lay a good bet he doesn't even know who Kerouac is. But perhaps he's a good 10,000 Maniacs fan and has heard "Hey, Jack Kerouac". After all, Natalie Merchant certainly puts her $$ where her mouth is!!

Ah yes, Rocker, Jane's Addiction was an awesome band but I thought they were touring this year. Didn't they re-band? I saw them play in May '91 (I think shortly before the 1st Lollapalooza gig and right before they broke up) and The Rollins Band opened up for them. tres cool.........

No probs, I'm no Sam.

Sam gets confused, but that stems from his jaundiced world view. At least he's trying to make friends here.

Anyone who links to The Nation on her web site's fine with me.

Ozzy is indeed a legend. Favourite Ozzy moments:

Ozzy confusing cocaine and ants and snorting a line of ants (easily done, we've all been there)

Ozzy's wife stopping him going out by hiding all his clothes. Next thing she is called to the local police station to bail out her husband who is wearing a dress

Ozzy feeling the need to releive himself, picking a suitably riuned wall and pissing on the Alamo.

I have met the legend a few times and he is exactly like this in real life.

His mum still calls him John and bosses him about.

As regards U2. The only reason that they are not the world champions of crap 6th form rock is that REM haven't had the plane crash that they so richly deserve.

It was a black day for British justice yesterday when Peter Buck was set free instead of being tarred and feathered.

Do you think Ozzy has done more charlie that Dubya?

If I'm not mistaken Ozzy is forbidden from performing in the president's home state of Texas because he defaced the Alamo by urinating on it...or something like that...do you think President Bush is aware of this?...I watched the Ozzy MTV show last night for the first time and I still don't know what to make of it...his wife and kids where throwing huge amounts of food over their fence into their neighbor's yard because they don't like each other...and then Ozzy, who was staggering, threw something and broke a window and then you heard police sirens...very wild.

So now we know more about John, THE THING. He is gay, heterphobic, jewish, and eager to kill unborn babies.

David West--nothing you said about Ozzie was remotely funny. You, like him, must be stuck in 6-12th grade humor.

REM and u2 are both great bands. -Ozzie is a fat middle aged has been piece of crap with a 14 year old mentaliy! Very pathetic!
