Dubrovnik to Korcula by bus

The plan is to travel between Dubrovnik and Korcula on July 6th.
Research shows that the ferry does not operate to Korcula on Wednesdays.
Bus service via Orebic offers only one departure time - 3pm which leaves you in Korcula at 6.15. There is another bus only option to Orebic, making your own arrangements on the Orebic - Korcula ferry, but this only leaves Dubrovnik after 2 pm.

There appears to be regular ferries during the day, Orebic - Korcula, but can anyone advise if there are any bus operators offering a service Dubrovnik - Orebic earlier in the day so that one can get to Korcula before evening time?

No there is not another bus to Orebic. However you may want to make arrangements for a private transfer. There has been big discussions here with by our Mayor that bus service to Orebic is going to be cancelled totally. We may not have any service in the near future.

Thank you for this information.
We will be in Dubrovnik for 4 days before travelling to Korcula so there will be the opportunity to book a private transfer if required.
What could one expect to pay for two persons by taxi to Orebic?
Are there any minibus companies that might operate, taking passengers on this route?

There is a transfer service you should contact about transfers between Dubrovnik - Korcula. I have heard they offer a van service close to price of the bus. A taxi price would be very expensive. Send these folks an email with your requirements and I am sure they will be able to accommodate.

Again, many thanks for your assistance.
This company offer a midday transfer Dubrovnik - Korcula for €25 per person which leaves us an extra 3 hours in Korcula.
Hopefully this might be of interest to others making this trip during the coming months.
