Does anyone have any feedback on the following Hotels?

I do not know the hotels but they are all north of the Liffey and in a relatively downmarket part of the city.Lower Gardiner St and Talbot St are quite central though.Try www.jurysdoyle.com for a bigger choice,mostly on the southside.

We stayed in the Maple Hotel in 2000. The room was very comfortable, breakfast was good, and the price then (30pds per person)was reasonable for late March in Dublin. The Sharkey family has run it for many years. We didn't mind that it was on the North Side, we found some wonderful shopping areas nearby (where the locals shop.)

I don't know those hotels either, but be aware that they are all in a very run-down part of the city - an area where I would not like to be alone after dark. Try a Jury's Inn, or a B&B somewhere a little nicer (Rathmines or Donnybrook).

Like other posters I'm not familiar with these hotels, but I do share their doubts about the area.

I agree with ter2000 re Jury's Inns. They're not the best hotels in Dublin, but they are excellent value for money & the Christchurch one in particular is in a great location.

Try Clara House in Rathmines its really super

Try Casidy's Hotel - very central or the Jury's Inn's or the Quality Hotel Group. The Mont Clare or Ambassador are central also.

Personally I would not opt for any of them just for the location as it can be a bit dodgy at night. Jurys Christ Church is the right price and an excellent location. The Montclair, Alexander and Davenport are all beside Merrion Square and a good bet. Not sure of the prices but they would be in the middle range. Jurys would be a better value. As well try Bewleys hotel in Temple Bar and Handels hotel. Bewleys does a good rate from what I remember. Another place by St. Stephens Green is the Harcourt Hotel and the Russel Court hotel. Both are on Harcourt Street. They are doing some rail construction for the lewis trains but I don't think it will disturb you. Ask for rear rooms. A girl I work with called the Russel court today (I am in Dublin) and I think they are doing good rates as business is down due to the construction. Do not let this sway you. My friend stayed there a few years ago and it was lovely (four poster bed). Otherwise go for a B&B in Ballsbridge, Donnybrook or Sandymount. They are a 10 minute bus ride to town.
