Dublin

We are going to Ireland in May for 15 days. We are flying into Dublin on Friday morning and staying in Dublin til Monday morning before heading out to the west of Ireland. We are having trouble finding a good hotel. Whenever we check on trip advisor, it always states that it's noisy, dirty etc. We are looking for any suggestions that would work for a couple in their late 50's. We would like convenience, cleanliness and reasonable with a good Irish breakfast. Also, is 3 days too long to stay in Dublin?

I think 3 days is a good amount for Dublin. Its small and mostly walkable depending on what you want to see.

What is your budget? I always stay at the Westin by Trinity College. St Stephens Green is a nice area thats very central so hotels/B&Bs along there should be good.

Agree you can see most major sights in Dublin in that time. We like to stay at the Westbury but I suspect it may be above your budget. Without knowing what that is it's hard to make recos. The key is something really central - so you can walk everywhere.

Got an excellent rate in the Conrad hotel, just off St Stephens Green for a Sunday night in May. Double room for €130; great value for this standard of hotel.

See Dee, Is that rate for one person? The best I could find for that hotel in May was 159 euros. Thanks for your help.

Two person rate, with breakfast. Used Hotels.com. Friday and Saturday nights may be more popular (and more expensive).
