Driving to bergama or ephesus from foca
We will be in Turkey in early September and want to spend 4 or 5 days on west south/west coast. We are considering staying in Foca and driving to Bergama one day and to Ephesus another day. Is this feasible or is Foca too far from these places to make easy day trips?

I spent two nights in Foca last fall. One of the days we drove to Bergama; very easy drive. If you are interested, I will dig out a wonderful lunch place in Bergama that I recommend if you are a meat eater.
From Foca, we drove through Izmir to Sirince. As Sinan says, this drive entails traffic through Izmir and is not as pleasant as the Foca-Bergama drive but a visit to Ephesus from Foca can be done in one long day; friends of ours who were not going on to Sirince did just that.
Foca is a lovely town in which to base for a few days; it was one of my favorite of the towns we visited along the North Aegean coast.
