Driving Map Recommendation for Italy
Ran a search on this but most of the posts I found were a couple of years old so thought I would try for any current info. We'll be driving from Livorno to Pisa and Lucca. Looking for a recommendation for a good road map for the area. Thanks.

You should get a GPS only if you can't read a map comfortably. Not necessary,,,,we've never used one. Husband is a geologist, and I am good with maps. They are probably very handy, however, for those who really can't understand map reading. I have several friends this way.
We always use Michelins and my husband usually copies just the sections we will be needing....as they ARE kind of bulky.
We usually cover big areas,,,but still take quite a few 8x l0 sheets. At Pisa (and we were only there 1 or 2 hours),,,we found a parallel parking spot right on the street about 4 block away from the Tower. ...but I imagine those red lined zones CAN be costly.
