We will be driving from Sicily to Sorrento ( after visiting Sicily) over several days. We are planning to quickly visit Malvito, (ancestral home), not stay, on the way and are looking for an area to stay for two nights while driving through Calabria. Unfortunately, we are limited to two days to do this drive, but we would like to enjoy what we can. We would appreciate any thoughts/ information on towns/ accomodations, events or scenic drives along the way . Also, please let us know about any information/experiences using the Messina ferry to Reggio Calabria; I also read that there is a ferry from Catania to the mainland. Thanks in advance for suggestions.
