Driving from Mont St Michel to Amboise

We will be driving from Mont St Michel (staying on the MSM) to Amboise, will leave MSM around 3-4pm. Looking for an advise on where to make a stop for a village visit/early dinner. Thank you in advance!

Chinon ain't a small village but a neat small town - and IMO one of nicest looking in Loire.

Chinon is a little out of the way. Surely one of the towns or villages between the Mont Saint-Michel and Amboise would fit the bill for an evening meal. Michelin recommends le Moulin des Quatre Saisons https://www.viamichelin.com/web/Rest...he%2C%20france
