Driving From Jerez to Granada
BF and I will be driving from Jerez to Granada during the second week of September. We are wondering if there is anything of interest to see or if there is a nice place to stop for lunch along the way.

We recently drove from Jerez (really enjoyed our three days there) to Granada. We stopped in a white village, Arcos de la Frontera (actually a day trip from Jerez, but its on the way to Granada). Lovely town, very nice to walk around.
There is also Sierra Nevada National Park, we drove to the top of a fascinating mountain range (can't remember the name); very unusual rock formations.

The drive, without stops, will take a little over 3 hours. You can stop in Antequera, which is a little over an hour's drive from Granada.
Arte de Cozina, Calle Calzada, 27, Antequera (http://artedecozina.com) opens daily at 1:00 pm.
Or push on to Loja and have lunch at Restaurante Flati (www.flati.es/restaurante).

I have only driven the western part of your route. Antequera is the most obvious place to stop being about midway on your route. Arcos is lovely but quite large and we found that the parking is a good walk away from the main sites, the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park is absolutely beautiful if you have the time but it is probably better given a whole day.
We like Olvera which is a lovely small town with a castle just off the main road which would make a nice short break on your way. In March we found parking on the street without problem and the centre was five minutes walk.
