Road Trip Seville to Granada
I am an experienced traveler, but a first time traveller to Spain. My wife and I want to drive from to Seville to Granada via Jerez, Arcos, and Ronda. The plan is to enjoy the trip! One day for driving through Jerez & Arcos evening in Ronda. Next day in Ronda. Next 1/2 day driving to Granada.
IS this a reasonable plan, or am I pushig to much? If pushing what are recommendations.
Thank you everone in advance.

Wayne,
It all seems very reasonable. I've driven the route a few times. The distances aren't bad (check Mappy.com). You have two routes to consider on the Ronda to Granada leg of your drive. You can take the A382 past Antequera and pick up the A93/A329 into Granada, or head south to the coast through Málaga, following the coast to Salobreña before heading north to Granada on the N323.

If you take the route along the coast a great side trip is to Lanjaron, Bubion and Calcierias (sp?) in the Alpajurras. We did the trip you are contemplating a few weeks ago but in reverse: granada to seville. Left Granada about noon; drove to Bubion/Calceiras; then backtracked back thru Lanjaron to Nerja (arrived in time for dinner). Next day: drove to and toured around Gibraltar; drove to Tarifa that night. Next day toured Tarifa until after lunch and then drove to Ronda. Along the way to Ronda we stopped about 3 times to marvel at the scenery- just beautiful! Mountainous, forested, could see Gibraltar in the distance. Spent that afternoon, evening and until 2 pm the next day in Ronda, then made the easy drive to Seville- 2 1/2 hours.
These drives were all very easy. the roads are excellent- well-marked and in great shape.
Advice if you don't speak Spanish is to zero in on learning words for food, or bring a dictionary or web printout of food words (esp seafood).
In Granada i think it would be good to find a hotel near the Plaza Bib Rambla. And definitely take the walk up to the San Nicolas mirador in the evening for a breathtaking view of the Alhambra.
The bus to the Alhambra is easy and fast- it leaves from the Plaza Nueva every 10 minutes.
