Drink Suggestions in English Pubs
#61
Just got back from France where the most popular beer [I use the word loosely] is Kronenburg. Vile stuff - only bearable drunk really fast. Obviously the french agree - what seems to be a Belgian beer called Affligem is much more widely available than last time we were there.
It was a relief to get back to the UK - on the way home we stopped at our favourite pub on Dartmoor, where DH had a pint of a guest beer that he really liked and I had a half of cider that came out of a barrel on the bar, and didn't taste like alcohol at all. [which is the most lethal sort, IME].
