Dresden hotels

Dear Fodories!
I need an advise for hotels for our upcoming trip to Germany in May. I would appreciate if you can give me some ideas for hotel/bed & breakfast in the following cities: Dresden, Nurnberg, Mainz, Rothernburg. We are looking for something nice and charming but preferably in the center of all actions (city center or close). Our budget is around 100 Euros a night. Thank you very much, Natalie

For Dresden: an excellent choice is the Pension am Grossen Garten. Quiet location, close to the "Grand Garden" as the name indicates. And only 10 minutes by tram to the city centre. Trams run every 5 - 10 minutes.

Rate should be 70 - 80 Euro per night and double incl. breakfast buffet.

We stayed there for five nights last September. The hotel is newly remodeled, large rooms, great bathrooms. It's also an easy walk to the river and adjacent to the tram lines. I highly recommend it. It's a great deal!

If you can get a good rate for the Radisson Gewandhaus, then JUMP on it! Excellent hotel in very good location.
