Received the suggestion for the Dorsoduro area in Venice. It was perfect for us. Never having been to Venice, we were planning to stay in the San Marco Area, however, the Dorsoduro area was lovely, quiet, offered many restaurants and sights.

When in Venice, we did walk to all the other areas and we still would choose Dorsoduro again.

Antica Locanda Montin. Not sure if it's exactly in Dorsoduro, but close enough.
