I do not understand the complaints about the street noise. The Moulin is on the other side of the river from the town, and the street it is on is not a "main" road, as if there were any to Brantôme. But I admit that I have never stayed there.

The main road that runs through Brantôme was quite busy when we were there, and the hotel isn't that far from the road. The river is perpendicular to the hotel, if I remember correctly.

I was really amused to hear about the ducks quacking in the morning near the Moulin de L'Abbaye. When we rented a barge on Canal du Midi, we parked in an idyllic setting and couldn't believe that the ducks started quacking at sun up--evidentally they had been fed by previous bargers. It's amusing now thinking about it but at the time it was down right annoying.

At the Moulin d'Abbaye, the room called Cheval Blanc is at the end and has different views out of two windows.
