A 20+ pages itinerary sent to 5000+ fodorites must sound like a lifetime achievement.
Why am I still unimpressed after reading that comment dozens of times ?
Because I own a green Michelin guide ?

Hey, jersey! StuDudley's itinerary was a very valuable and highly detailed asset for us... don't miss it.

I agree with others that it's pretty much a coin-flip which you do first. If you put a gun to my head, I'd say Loire first. Purely for subjective reasons, it just feels more right for some reason.

The towns/locations in the Loire mentioned by StC in her post are the same ones I would have mentioned, especially Saumur and Chinon. That's in addition to the many, many chateaux, of course.

Enjoy! And post a TR, please.

How does one fly from the US to anywhere in France other than Paris?
Without going thru LHR or some intermediate place?

Why rain needlessly and ignorantly on someone's parade - especially when many have commented here on how it was valuable to them- Michelin green guides are fine but often lack a human aspect and just concentrate on rather high-brown cultural interests?

More info the better - why lampoon it?
