Doggie Bags
My search for doggie bags yielded some interesting results:

1. Europe is apparently a single country with standardized rules for all diners in all restaurants. Must have missed the EU ruling on that one. However, it is clearly the case as some very well-informed people on this board have told us definitively what is done in Europe.

2. It is apparently not possible for anyone visiting in the country of Europe to actually be staying in lodging with kitchens. I'd better go back and check on that cottage we're renting in Provence for two weeks and the flat we're using in Paris for ten nights. Maybe they don't actually have refrigerators in them.

3. The excellent restaurant where we had dinner in Seville must have been run by some very gauche people. They actually came to the table with a styrofoam container and offered to box some very delicious food that it was obvious we were not going to be able to eat because we had over-ordered.

Well, I've got to get back to my research. I keep learning more and more new things.

Oh, I forgot, one of the nicer restaurants we've visited, Les Trois Marche in Versailles, country of Europe, allowed dogs to enter with their owners. But, then, that's a pretty low-class place, after all.

Okay, unleash the hounds.
Well, I must say that Pup is quite relieved to hear this!
He really looks forward to either sitting at the cafes with his mama in Paris or waiting at home for her return with his doggie bag.
Thank you for doing this hard and I am sure, dangerous research for us!
Cheers**

Not at all! A little light hearted fun does not discourage a newbie, the bitchy bashing and snide remarks are what discourages all who come onto these boards.
I myself cannot claim to be an "insider", what would that be the inside of? I do know that it makes me smile when I read a thread and something whimsical comes up .
Maybe it just requires a sense of humor rather than being an insider?
