I checked her profile and her last post was on Aug 5 of this
year so she's still active.

You may want to try to e-mail her privately. She provides an e-mail address in this thread:

I am assuming it would still be valid. She has always responded fairly quickly to my messages in the past, and her advice for Nerja has always been spot-on for us. I have tried to reciprocate whenever I could.

I've visited Nerja every year since 2002 and would be only glad to help. Many up to date tips on tapas bars, restaurants and local stuff in general.

Thanks...we are looking for a 2 month rental in Feb. and March! So you can imagine, a warm place is a priority! We also want great sea views..don't mind a bit of a walk to town but want to avoid huge hill walks. We would like 2 bedrooms. We are looking at Fuentes de Nerja and another at El Playazo beach. We would love other suggestions!
Once we have nailed down a place, I'll have lots more questions!
Thanks. Canuck

30 mins program about "Diez Razones" (Ten resaons) for going to Nerja on Andalusian Canal Sur last week. Not the most surprising, but a nice little review: http://www.canalsuralacarta.es/telev...alaga/6619/139

I would suggest you stay in or close to seafront Calle Carabeo, the oldest street in town and a one to five minutes level walk to landmark Balcón de Europa and the center of town. This is the eastern part of Nerja, what Judi also has recommended earlier. The western part (from Torecilla beach and west towards El Playazo beach) is much newer, almost only tourist apartments (at least close to the beach) and has got a somewhat different atmosphere.

In and around Calle Carabeo, the Tuhillo apartments stay out as some of the absolute best in town, next door to the luxcurious Parador. Right on the seafront and the cliffs. Even if they normally are quite expensive and three or four bedrooms, I think you could have a bargain deal here for two months in Feb and March. Competition is tough these days. Check out this site, but several other agencies also have apartments here on offer:
http://www.inter-sol.com/tuhillo.html

On this list you'll find twelve other Calle Carabeo apartments, 100-150 meters closer to the center: http://www.inter-sol.com/properties.html

Some friends of ours have got a three bedroom two floor town-house even further along Calle Carabeo. Fabulous place with a patio, two terraces etc. They have talked about renting out, and I can get you in touch with them if you are interested. Normally they're not there in February/March, and I don't think the price would be bad.

Calle Carabeo runs along these cliffs, between the Parador and the Balcón de Europa: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2622/...de6a8146_o.jpg

The Fuentes de Nerja, which you have looked on, is also very nice. Close to Plaza de los Cangrejos with an excellent Italian restaurant (run by Italians) and some nice cafés. In the bottom of hectic and local feel Avda Castilla Perez with a small supermarket and one of the best seafood freidurias in all of Andalucía, extremely popular La Marina. Close to everything, only four minutes level walk to Balcón de Europa. We've stayed in an apartment just across the street several times and would love to do that again, but now we normally stay in our friends house.

A great and always updated site about "everything" you need to know about Nerja: http://www.nerjatoday.com/

Regarding the recommendations above, these seems to be very much what you are looking for. All two bedroom apartments in seafront Calle Carabeo, the best location in town:
