Does anyone know how to get the Euro symbol in Word?

Or if you don't want to bookmark this thread, or can't be bothered by going to Word for pasting into the forums, just remember this
Euro sign: type in an ampersand (& then with no space followed by the word euro, then with out a space, a semicolon ; then the amount in Euros. Thus (without the spaces I'm adding) & euro ;(amount), which on "preview" should come out as €(amount).
For pounds Sterling, just substitute pound for euro, thus (without spaces) & pound ;(amount), hence £(amount)
(BTW, documents copied from Word and pasted into this forum often have their punctuation go weird, especially apostrophes and quotation marks, which all come out as ?s. A huge pain.)

In French, all currency symbols (pounds, dollars, euros, yen, etc.) come after the digits. In English, they go before.
As my job involves translating from French to English, I spend a lot of time moving euro symbols around!

I keep a .txt file with various odd letters and characters in it, and if I can't remember the keyboard shortcut, I just copy and paste it from the .txt file. Note that you should not use Microsoft Word for this purpose, because you might get those really odd characters. A text file works fine.
