Does anyone have an E-mail address for any of the following Paris hotels?

Hotel Les Argonautes
Hotel Esmeralda
Hotel Degres de Notre Dame
Port Royal Hotel
Hotel du Globe

I'm checking availability for my trip to Paris in September and would prefer to do it by e-mail if at all possible. None of the listings I have for these hotels include an e-mail address (I only have fax and phone numbers). I thought I'd take a stab at someone on here posssibly having stayed at one and knowing whether or not it's even possible to contact them via the net.

Thanks in advance,
Jennie

P.S. If you'd like to offer a review of any of them, that would be appreciated too. They're all recommendations from various friends.

http://www.parisinsiderguides.com/links.html
Hi Jennie,
Using Google and just putting in Paris Hotel email addresses, I got a few sites but this one had the most info. Try that, I am sure they must have email addresses, just where to find them!
Hope this helps.

I've searched the internet, and can confidently say that Esmeralda and Argonautes don't have email. I called Esmeralda last week (the man spoke English well) for a reservation in late March, and they were fully booked. I bet they are almost booked for the summer months, too.
I just purchased an updated (2002) Paris hotel guide at a tourist trade fair.
I checked all the hotels you mention and none lists e-mail nor www addresses. Some may have gotten one in the meantime though.
That's the problem with small budget hotels.

You could also search with the large search machine for France www.voila.fr (type in hotel's name+Paris) and see what you can get).
Good luck.

I know for certain that the Hotel Degres de Notre Dame has no e-mail nor website. Only way to contact is via fax, phone or mail (which is what I did several months ago).

For a quick update of pricing:
Big room on the top floor known as the family room is 190 euros. It holds 1 large double bed & 2 single beds.

One room with double, sofa & full bathroom for 160 euros.

A regular double is 100 euros.

A single on the 1st floor is 70 euros.

Breakfast is still included in the price.

Hi Jennie, I was checking on some hotels last year that did not have e-mail addresses and I did have great success faxing. While "shopping" for a hotel I wanted to have something in writing from the hotel verifying rooms type/cost, and when I couldn't e-mail I started faxing. It was not expensive actually it was most likely less than a phone call because I would have been on the line longer if I was conversing with someone.

Hi Jennie,

If you dial 1016868 before the number, you can send a FAX for 9 cents/min.

Beatchick - so which is the best hotel - Hotel Degres de Notre Dame or Grand Hotel Jeanne d'Arc? A double is 20 E more at Degres, but includes breakfast. Both look good on the websites - but which do you prefer and why? Thanks!

I would have to say overall I love the Hôtel Les Degrés de Notre Dame more. Reasons? The artsy decor, the free, fabulous breakfast (perfect cafe - mmm!, fresh-squeezed o.j., flaky croissants), the VIEW of Notre Dame (but only in some rooms, certainly not the ground floor rooms), the couscous, the bar that stays open late, the proximity to the Ile de la Cite and the Maubert-Mutualite Metro.

On the upside the Jeanne d'Arc has an elevator and the staff are super, super friendly, plus it's in the Marais district.

Dial 10 10 987 and you can call or fax to France for 3? a minute and a 39? connect fee. If you call and talk for five minutes, you can exchange a lot of information for only 54?. For only $2.70 you can call all five hotels and talk to each for five minutes. What a deal.

In the above post the ? should have been cent signs, but for some reason Fodors makes them question marks.
