Does Air France Weigh?

Does Air France weigh all carry on luggage or just that which looks too big? Traveling in 2 weeks on international flight originating in France. Thank you

How much stuff are you lugging?? On AF the carry on plus personal item can weigh as much as 12kg. That's more then 26 lbs. (the allowance is much higher if you are flying in a premium cabin).

They might or might not weigh them. Probably depends on the gate agents. But I've only flown AF couple of times.

They have weighed my carry ons before. They only do it for really full flights, though.

Also depends on the airport or even the terminal. For example, in CDG AF hires a 3rd party in T2F that checks carry-on weight just before security.
I have not seen in it in T2E where it is likely you will depart from for an international flight.

Even if everyone tells you 'No, they don't weigh carry ons", I wouldn't risk it. It is certainly within their rights to do so. So say the day you arrive they are weighing or just spot checking and you have 28 or 30 lbs of stuff - what will you get rid of? I'd either make sure you have 12 kg or less . . . or check a bag.

Update - no issues. We had 20" rolling suitcases with carry on totes and no problems at all. Didn't see anyone weighing at all.

Glad it was fine. The last time they weighed my carry-on, since i had not checked in any baggage, they were positively shocked that I was traveling with only 7 kilos of baggage to go to Asia.

So - in the past on the US side I had seen them go up to people in the waiting area and weigh their things, but they were only doing it to obvious tourists and/or people with really huge bags. At CDG, I'd never seen it happen - until last month. As someone above mentioned, they clearly had hired a security firm and they were pulling literally everyone out of the security line into a separate area where they weighed everyone's bags. Very glad OP avoided this , but fair warning to everyone else!
