Hi Akki, you may want to take a look at Special T's post today about their itinerary for first time in Paris, and they are aged 24...no Disneyland, but lots of other good ideas. It all comes down to personal preference, but I would choose Versailles over Disney any time! And no, you wouldn't want to try & do both in one day. They are both huge places and very crowded.

That's like comparing chalk and cheese! You must have some idea of your own interests that would steer you one way or another between a US-style theme park and one of the most historic palaces in Europe... And they are opposite sides of Paris so it's impossible to see both on the same day.

Versailles was kind of a Disneyland for Louis XIV-Louis XVI and Marie.
I think you must answer this question yourself, no one else can for you. You know your interest in Disneyland, no one else does. That is such a personal thing, I would never go to Disneyland if you paid me, but you must really like it to think of it as something to do on your vacation in France. And if you have no chance to ever go otherwise, I would suspect you would like it better than Versailles or the question wouldn't arise. But that's just a hunch, I think you go with what your gut tells you -- which one would you look forward to more?
It is impossible to do both in one day because they are not remotely near each other, aside from the other issues of how much time you'd want to spend there. Disneyland is expensive, so if you went there, I think you would want to stay more than a couple hours.

While on a personal level the answer is very clear to me, ( Versailles) no one can give you the correct answer for you, but you!
When I took my 13 yr old son to Disneyland we bought a two day pass at the gate as it was only a few euros more then the one day, and guess what, on the second day son said he didn't care to return to Disney.. but would prefer a second visit to the Louvre instead. Keep in mind, he was no namby pamby, he was a very typical teen boy who scraped through school with a c c+ average, and loved skateboarding and watching the Simpsons... but he found Disney babyish and only a few of the rides were that fun for him at that age.. ( If you are from UK which I think you are, Thorpe Park was a lot more fun apparently when other son went with dad)
I believe Versailles to be an incredible place but frankly if you really do not know any history, and have no real interest in such then I guess its just a big fancy place with a large garden then isn't it? .... I took a friend there some years ago, she enjoyed Versailles very much, but at one point I realized by some of her comments that she was quite clueless to what Versailles was ..( a royal palace ) , I just turned to her and said " you do know who lived here don't you?" and she looked right at me so blithely and simply laughed and said "no, not a clue".... so, perhaps the day didn't mean as much to her as it did to even my 13 yr old boy who was fascinated with an area , turned to me with a ghoulish grin and said " hey mom, I think this is where they slaughtered the Swiss Guard". ..lol
