Hello Kenderina! I am so glad to see your post. I haven't seen one for awhile and consequently have been thinking of you and hoping that you and all of your family were well and happy.

Winter is arriving here in Northern California. In just a few weeks we will be celebrating our Thanksgiving Day and then of course it will be Christmas. The year has gone by so fast!

Take care dear one.

Thanks, Comfy The report from the UK will be a bit delayed...my November trip has been cancelled. I'm not feeling very well lately and on top of that, my friend Alina had also some problems at work so we decided not to go now. But you just have to wait..I hope we can do it on the last days of January.

Loveitaly, thanks for your concern We are all alive at home..so we keep on living, some days better , some days worse, that's life My mom says the same : the year has gone TOO fast !! All the shops and supermarkets here are already full of christmas sweets , maybe I should write about that here LOL
Take care !

Muchas Gracias, Kenderina. I am grateful. I am now torn between a drive tour of Sicily and the Cordoba-Granada-Sevilla trip. I am ACHING to see the Moorish influence of southern Spain, the Alhambra, the walk the streets of the 3 cities. Regarding the weather, I live in Michigan, so even Norway in January would hardly faze me, lol. If anybody else has any tips or suggestions, please let me know. Thank you, everybody, once again.

Sue

Be careful with public transportation in London. A lot (!!!) of the tube stations require very long walks and steep stairs. Not every station comes with elevator, escalator etc. We did London with our grandma and I know what I'm talking about. A lot of times we had to help her with the stairs and we had to take several breaks within one tube station.

Cities that have trams are much better for physically challenged people. Amsterdam, Berlin, Zurich, etc.

Andreas: Just for your future trips - I'd never use the tube when traveling w/ a disabled companion. Especially since the buses are so very easy and low to the ground.

Hello again Kenderina. I am sorry that you are not feeling well. Many people I know are not feeling too good either. In fact I woke up today feeling very achy. Everyone here says it is due to the change is weather. I am sorry that your trip was cancelled but hopefully you and your friend will be able to take it later on. Stay warm and take good care of yourself!

Hi Sue

If you are up for the train trip email the girls that operate the company.

When I was travelling I wasn't in such good health and their helpfulness and kindness was special. They even contacted each hotel in advance of our stay to let them know of the foods I needed. That was their suggestion not ours.

I am sure they would go out of their way to help.

Kenderina, I hope you feel better soon and getting stronger every day. The help and encouragement you gave me last April was fantastic and I won't forget that.

Kind regards,

Joe
